spotlight: NYC-based australian painter

for pre-spring 2026 we spend time with rory thomas, an nyc-based painter from melbourne, australia. shot by benett copeland, the series docmuments moments of process and preparation, capturing rory at work inside his studio, while wearing pieces from our collection.

in december 2025 we were pleased to present an exhibition of rory's work in our space. his work currently remains on view in-store, marking an ongoing dialogue between his practice and our brand.

rory describes his work as an internal dialogue, functioning like a journal and autobiographical in nature. his work invited prolonged looks and interpretations. for him, painting is a way of reflecting and letting go.
