The Essential Cube Edit
The Bauhaus school looked to Cubist artists including Picasso, George Braque and Juan Gris – who were deconstructing objects to their basic geometric shapes: cones, spheres & cubes, etc.
Bauhaus designers adapted this code using abstract, angular & geometric forms inspired by modern machinery as a framework for creating an uncluttered living environment in a technological age.
Drawing inspiration from this, dimensional cubes are hand-beaded onto custom woven neckwear to form the “essential” cube edit.

‘In a time of unrest, art is an effective tool that empowers young voices that may have difficulties being heard. I wouldn’t be the creator I am today without the exposure to art in my childhood. It has given me a platform to articulate ideas and concepts through visual dimensional structures.’
